Scanning Software for C-Stores

Back Office Software designed to be flexible and affordable - whether you're running one store, or a chain of 50 - the modular approach allows you to build a system that best meets your needs...

  • Pricebook Module

This module is the foundation of the PRI*SCAN system, allowing you to control pricing on all items sold inside the store. PRI*SCAN users can add, delete and change item information in the back office at any time leaving the register available to cash out customers as it was intended. PRI*SCAN categories allow you to change groups of items with a few mouse clicks, saving hours of precious time. Additionally, price changes and promotions can be scheduled to take effect at any point in the future, automatically.
  • Sales Activity Module

The unfortunate reality of the C-store industry is that the margins on fuel sales are too narrow to ensure a profitable business. Today’s C-store owner must look to the inside of their store to increase their revenue; the Sales Activity Module helps with just that. With one easy to use screen, you can review item sales, track margins over time, create and save regularly reviewed custom reports, ensure cashiers are scanning and attain a velocity report to identify items that are not selling.
  • Settlement Module

This module imports Settlement Data, including department level totals, fuel sales, sales tax collected and tender information (including totals for cash, checks, credit cards, house accounts, etc.) from the gas controller. Daily totals are collected, and Settlement reports can be created for desired date ranges. Additionally, the Settlement Module interfaces with QuickBooks and MAS90.
  • Receiving / EDI Module

This module can be used to process Electronic Receiving Invoices (from participating suppliers) to easily get new items, costs and retails into the system and / or it can be used to update inventory quantities for those users looking to maintain item-level inventory (when used with the Inventory Module.)

For EDI purposes, the Receiving Module was designed to work in conjunction with PRI*SCAN to utilize Electronic Receiving Invoices to easily update the pricebook with new items and new costs / suggested retails from the grocery supplier. As the Electronic Invoice is received, it is matched against current cost and retail in the PRI*SCAN pricebook and any differences are highlighted. (For inventory purposes, it can also be used in combination with a HandHeld Receiving Invoice to verify quantities received versus quantities invoiced.)

For inventory purposes, deliveries from any non-EDI vendors are received using the HandHeld.  HandHeld receiving invoices can be compared against a paper invoice to search for changes to cost, or discrepancies in quantity.
  • Inventory Module

Identifying shrink and maintaining desired inventory levels are critical in any business environment.  Working in conjunction with the Sales Activity Module and the Receiving/EDI Module, the Inventory Module maintains item-level inventory and provides dollar value, shrink and reorder reporting.
  • Fuel Inventory Module

The Fuel Inventory Module tracks fuel sales and allows for entry of fuel receiving and input of tank inventory readings.  Based on this information, the reporting in the Fuel Inventory Module shows margins by grade on fuel sales (for desired date ranges) and current tank inventory valuation, as well as producing EPA reports by tank for a desired date range which list daily fuel shortages/overages by gallon.
  • HandHeld Device Functionality

    • HandHeld Receiving
Using the HandHeld, Receiving Invoices can be created at the store level by entering a Vendor ID and Invoice Number, and scanning in products received.
Upon connection to the PC, the HandHeld sends the information to the Receiving Module, where an electronic invoice can then be matched against the vendor's paper invoice.
HandHeld Receiving can also be used in conjunction with EDI functionality allowing verification of quantities on any electronic invoices.
    • HandHeld Physical Inventory Counts
Again using the HandHeld, a physical inventory count can be taken by scanning the barcoded items in the store and inputting a quantity.
The data is then pulled to your PC and can viewed and processed in the Inventory Module.
    • HandHeld Price Checks
The HandHeld can also be used for price checks - simply scan items on the floor, and update retail prices if needed. Upon connection to the PC, any changes are uploaded to the system and are available for review / confirmation.
